Cookie Policy

Effective 8 July 2026

This page explains how the Beyond Stays Group website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. In short, we use very few. Our website analytics runs on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies to identify individuals.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferences, login state, or how you arrived at the site. Cookies can be first-party (set by the website you're visiting) or third-party (set by another domain, often for analytics or advertising).

Not all tracking uses cookies. Some technologies (like Cloudflare Web Analytics) collect anonymous information about page visits without using cookies at all.

Cookies we use

Currently, Beyond Stays Group uses no first-party cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalisation. Our website analytics is handled by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookie-free.

If we introduce cookies in future (for example, if we add a customer login area, or add analytics that requires cookies), we will update this policy and, where required by law, request your consent through a cookie banner before setting any non-essential cookies.

The only cookies you might encounter on our website are essential technical cookies used by Cloudflare for security and DDoS protection. These are strictly necessary for the website to function and do not require consent under UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

Cookie name Purpose Provider Duration
__cf_bm Bot management, security Cloudflare 30 minutes
cf_clearance Bot mitigation clearance Cloudflare 30 minutes to 1 year (varies)

How to manage cookies

Even though we currently use very few cookies, you have full control over what cookies your browser accepts. Every major browser lets you:

  • View and delete cookies stored on your device
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Block all cookies (though this may break some websites)

Instructions vary by browser. See the settings for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Or visit aboutcookies.org for general guidance.

For opt-out of analytics beyond cookies, note that Cloudflare Web Analytics does not track individuals or use cookies, so there is nothing individual-specific to opt out of. If you use browser privacy extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger, they may still block the Cloudflare beacon. This is fine and will not affect your use of the website.

Cookies from third-party services

If you interact with links to third-party services from our website (Trustpilot, Instagram, Airbnb, WhatsApp, Calendly), those services may set their own cookies according to their own policies. We do not control these cookies. See each provider's own policy:

Similarly, if you accept a booking via a channel we manage on your behalf (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc.), those platforms are separate data controllers and use their own cookies as described in their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we add cookies or tracking that require consent, we will publish an updated policy and, where required, deploy a cookie consent mechanism before setting any non-essential cookies.
